Educational Statement

Growing up in a single-family household, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and resilience required to overcome adversity. This background has fueled my passion for reaching out to everyone, especially underserved communities. I am committed to making a difference by providing equitable access to education and resources, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to succeed.

My dedication extends beyond the classroom. I believe in the power of community connections and strive to show our students that they are integral parts of their communities. By merging learning experiences from outside the walls with our educational environment, I aim to give students the opportunity to build long-lasting connections with their community and understand the importance of giving back. Through these efforts, I hope to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Educational Statement

As an educator of 13+ years, it is my belief that every educator should strive to improve the lives of the students in front of them. While miracles happen inside classrooms every day, I firmly believe that this cannot be achieved solely inside a classroom. I also believe that you do not have to change a child’s environment to change their world; but if you really want to improve a life, you must extend your reach beyond the child that sits in front of you.

My experience has taught me that one of the best ways to support the students in front of us, is by supporting their families. Having a child with special needs is an undeniable challenge that requires the support of education, resources, and community. Having served as a district 75 transition coordinator, I understand the importance of connecting families to agencies that can help their child outside of school. With the assistance of a united team, every student can have the appropriate support to learn, grow and prosper.

At the center of every community is a heart that beats for the cause. As an educator and leader, I believe in the power of positivity. One should never underestimate the impact of a kind word, a fist bump, or a smile. Positivity breeds productivity, and when we work together, wonderful things do happen.

Educational Statement

As an Assistant Principal, I am committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of their individual challenges or abilities, has access to an equitable and inclusive education. I believe that all students, including those with disabilities, should be supported in a way that empowers them to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

It is essential that our educational programs provide personalized support that meets the unique needs of each student. This involves creating a collaborative environment where families, educators, and specialists work together to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that focus on strengths and address areas of need.

My role as an administrator is to provide leadership, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support our dedicated teachers and staff in their efforts to create a positive learning environment for students with special needs. I am dedicated to fostering a learning environment that emphasizes respect, understanding, and diversity. In the pursuit of excellence, I recognize that I must continually evaluate and adapt to meet the evolving needs of our students, embracing innovation, best practices, and the voices of those we serve. I believe in an educational system that supports the growth, dignity, and success of all learners.
